Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the logic errors pattern
The wrong operator, an inverted condition, a formula the right way round but backwards.
What went wrong: groups[word.length] = [word] puts a new list in that slot every time. "cd" replaces "ab".
The fix: if (!groups[word.length]) groups[word.length] = []; then groups[word.length].push(word);
Remember: to collect items, create the list once and push to it.
The pattern behind it: logic errors.
