Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the type errors pattern
Totals that concatenate, sorts that put 10 before 9, comparisons that refuse to run.
What went wrong: 19.99 × 100 is stored as 1998.9999… int() drops the decimals, so it becomes 1998.
The fix: return round(float(price_text) * 100)
Remember: int() cuts, round() rounds. Money that is one cent off is usually this.
The pattern behind it: type errors.
