Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the type errors pattern
Totals that concatenate, sorts that put 10 before 9, comparisons that refuse to run.
What went wrong: In Python 3, None cannot be compared directly with numbers using the < operator, crashing sorted().
The fix: Use a tuple key where priority is None places nulls last: key=lambda u: (u['priority'] is None, u['priority'])
Remember: In Python 3, heterogeneous comparisons (like None < int) are strictly prohibited.
The pattern behind it: type errors.
