Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the logic errors pattern
The wrong operator, an inverted condition, a formula the right way round but backwards.
What went wrong: the subtraction is backwards, so every gap is negative. max() then picks -1, the one closest to zero.
The fix: gaps.append(nums[i + 1] - nums[i])
Remember: check a formula on one pair of numbers by hand.
The pattern behind it: logic errors.
