Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the logic errors pattern
The wrong operator, an inverted condition, a formula the right way round but backwards.
What went wrong: Python calls __len__() for truthiness checks when __bool__() is absent. If __len__() returns 0, if cart evaluates to False.
The fix: Check object existence explicitly against None: if cart is not None
Remember: In Python, objects defining __len__() evaluate to False when length is 0; use is not None to verify instance existence.
The pattern behind it: logic errors.
