Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the type errors pattern
Totals that concatenate, sorts that put 10 before 9, comparisons that refuse to run.
What went wrong: parseInt reads whole numbers only. It stops at the dot, so "1.5" becomes 1 and "2.5" becomes 2.
The fix: sum + Number(p)
Remember: use Number() or parseFloat() for decimals. parseInt() is for whole numbers.
The pattern behind it: type errors.
