Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the scope and closure bugs pattern
Every callback reports the last value, a counter never increments, UnboundLocalError on a variable you can see.
What went wrong: Object.freeze() only freezes top-level properties. Nested objects remain mutable and can be modified in place.
The fix: Use structuredClone() or deep-freeze to create an isolated immutable snapshot: structuredClone(config)
Remember: In JavaScript, Object.freeze() is shallow; nested objects remain fully mutable.
The pattern behind it: scope and closure bugs.
