Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the logic errors pattern
The wrong operator, an inverted condition, a formula the right way round but backwards.
What went wrong: itertools.groupby() only groups consecutive identical elements. Non-consecutive duplicates create separate groups.
The fix: Sort the collection before grouping: groupby(sorted(items))
Remember: In Python, itertools.groupby() requires sorted inputs to group all identical keys together.
The pattern behind it: logic errors.
