Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the type errors pattern
Totals that concatenate, sorts that put 10 before 9, comparisons that refuse to run.
What went wrong: the versions are compared as text, letter by letter. "1" is before "9", so "10.0" looks smaller.
The fix: compare [int(p) for p in version.split(".")] > [int(p) for p in current.split(".")]
Remember: numbers stored as text sort like words. Convert them first.
The pattern behind it: type errors.
