Test a custom input to verify an edge case (e.g. empty lists, negative numbers, duplicates).
This bug belongs to the null and undefined errors pattern
Cannot read properties of undefined, NoneType has no attribute, NaN appearing from nowhere.
What went wrong: if reading: is false when reading is 0. A real reading of 0 degrees looks the same as no reading.
The fix: if reading is not None:
Remember: when 0 is a valid value, check is None, not just if value.
The pattern behind it: null and undefined errors.
